Friday Fellowship Meetings

Friday night from 6:30 to 10:00pm is our fellowship time. Every week, we order dishes from restaurants and have dinner together at St Luke Lutheran Church basement‎ (map) before the meeting formally starts at 7:30pm. We eat and chat, share our life this week with brothers and sisters. After filling up our stomachs, we have energy to praise our Lord! Led by Rita, our praise team leader, we start our meeting at 7:30pm by singing praise songs. With our hearts and minds prepared, we start our main activity for that week which may be bible study, workshop, guest speaker, movie and games.

Bible Study

Usually, we have 8-9 weeks for Bible study each semester. We are divided into groups to study a specific topic or a chapter of a book in the bible. Coworkers in turn take the role of guiding and facilitating the discussion and group learning. Last year, we studied James and 1 Timothy. Let's learn the God's words together!

Workshop

We usually have 1-2 workshops each semester. Last year, we had the Science & Christianity workshop giving us a chance to learn more about how Science and Christianity can help one to understand each other more. We watched some video clips and had group discussions afterwards. We also had the Relationship workshop with two Christian couples sharing with us their love stories and what the God's role in their relationships. Let's learn about Christianity in a fun and relaxing way!

Guest Speakers

We have 1-2 meetings for guest speaker each semester. The guest speakers may share with us their testimonies and their experiences in doing missions. Let's be encouraged by their words!

Movies

Usually, we have 1 week for movie. Last year, we watched Prince of Egypt produced by DreamWorks. We then discussed about the miracles performed by Moses and the God's works. Let's sit back, have popcorn and enjoy a movie night together!

Games

We have 1-2 weeks for games each semester. We have a welcome night at the first week of each semester. To welcome the newcomers, we play games and get to know each other. During the semester, we have another week for fun. Last year, we have dumplings night. We made and cooked dumplings together, it's yummy! Let's have fun together!

Usually, these activities lasts for one and a half hour, so the meeting ends at 9:30. We then have our refreshment time, sharing with each other the life of this week while enjoying fruits and snacks together. Join us every Friday, building your relationship with God and enjoying your fellowship with brothers and sisters!

Prayer Meetings

We meet every Tuesday 7:30pm at St Luke Lutheran Church basement to pray. We pray for our Church, our brothers and sisters, and our world. Maybe you are very tired in the middle of the week and maybe there are tons of work waiting for you to finish, but please reserve some time to pray.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." ~ Philippians 4:6

Sunday Worship Service at FICCC

Every Sunday, we go to the Sunday Worship Service at the First Ithaca Chinese Christian Church (FICCC). We praise and pray, and listen to the sermons together (FICCC location).
