HISTORY

ORIGIN OF THE CLUB provided by Randall lane

" I'm an alumni who started the club around 1990 with about six others. Most of us were members of the Cornell Judo Club and there was a guest instructor in the Judo Club, Makoto Kuri, who also had study some Kendo many years ago. We asked him to teach us. Kuri-sensei taught us for a few years until he moved away from Ithaca."

LOGO

Our current logo was designed by Danny Han '06 in the Fall of '05.  The logo has the CU incorporated into a kendo 'men'.  This logo has been included in our club jackets awards and gifts since its original design.
