Large Groups
Every Friday, AAIV meets for a “large group”. We have changed the structure of large groups for this semester to better serve the vision of seeing students and faculty transformed. Some Friday evenings will be a time for the whole fellowship and friends to join together for a night of worship, learning, and fellowship. We come together to sing praises to our God and to rejoice in community as the body of Christ. Other Fridays, we will parter with another university organization to learn about and discuss a social justice issue. God cares about issues like poverty, human trafficking, etc. and wants our hearts to break for what breaks His. One week will be dedicated to learning about the social justice issue at-hand, and the following week, we will discuss and pray about how God sees these issues and the Christian response. And other Fridays, we will invite guest speakers to join us for more topical studies! It’s sure to be an exciting semester and we invite you to join us at any of these Friday gatherings.
Most Fridays will be followed by an ALGAE – After Large Group Activity/Event – which is an activity meant to help us get to one another more. We hope you can stay and speak with us after!
We meet in Goldwin Smith (unless a change is indicated below), from 7:30pm-9pm.
Whether you’ve been a Christian your whole life, a new Christian, or someone who is just curious about who Jesus really is and what He said, Large Group is a safe place for you! We hope to see you soon!
