Prayer Meetings

The purpose in having these prayer meetings is to see God break into our lives and transform us. This semester, we are focusing especially on Him placing His healing hand upon Cornell to renew it and see revival take over Cornell campus as we are sent out into the world as world-changers!

Prayer is simply opening our lives to God, acknowledging our total dependence on Him. Prayer is not limited to a segment of our lives or to a scheduled event in our days. It is an attitude of receptivity in which we live every moment. It is being open to Him at all times. It is living in the presence of God, always in the process of being reshaped and recreated by Him. – Jennifer Kennedy Dean

In prayer, we draw near to Him and He draws near to us. It’s not about asking for things and getting them (though He does love when we come to Him with our requests), but about having relationship with Him. The thing is, He loves spending time with us! He longs for you to come to Him alone in your room and with other brothers and sisters as well.

Through prayer, we also have incredible influence on situations, events, and happenings. Perhaps more than we could ever wrap our minds around. What God wants to do on earth, He will do through intercessors. God uses us, His people, to activate His will through prayer. Amazing no?! In other words, God has chosen to make many of the things He longs to do dependent on your prayers. As Sunder Krishnan puts it, Pray big. Pray bold. History belongs to the intercessors.

*Prayer Meetings TBA*

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
