About the Bowling Club

The Bowling Club at Cornell University has been around for over 10 years and gives both competitive and recreational players the opportunity to bowl in a fun atmosphere. You do not need to be an awesome bowler to join—unlike other schools, we don't have tryouts and thus membership is open to EVERYBODY that enjoys bowling! We practice twice a week: Mondays and Thursdays from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. We have a league during Thursday practice with cool prizes at the end of each semester, and we have open practice with occasional "fun" tournaments on Mondays. For those bowlers who are competitive, the club sends a team to attend approximately 10 intercollegiate tournaments over the entire school year. This team is chosen before each tournament by looking at the highest averaged bowlers from our league. We are even hosting our own tournament here on campus this Fall! Membership dues are usually around $65 per semester or discounted at $100 for the year. Dues include unlimited bowling during our practice sessions, free shoe rental, $1 games at other times, the opportunity to attend tournaments, entry into our league, bowling club t-shirts, and good deals on equipment such as bowling balls, shoes, and bags.

Club Officers

The bowling club is all student run and we have 6 officers that help out immensely over the course of the year. Any member of the club is eligible to run for one of these offices. Elections are held the first week of December and the position runs for the entire calendar year (not academic year). You may contact the president or vice president for further information about the club.
