Old News from 2006-2007

  • April 4th, 2008: Congrats to Sarah and Colin for winning the Spring 2008 CBC Scotch Doubles Tournament! Mark/Ellis finished a close 2nd, while Christina/Dan and Brian/Pat rounded out the top 4.
  • March 24th, 2008: Some big scores during the CBC league this semester-- Colin Zarzycki rolled a 300 during Week 4 and Max Schleikorn came within two pins of throwing another in Week 6-- finishing with an amazing 298. Congrats, guys!
  • January 28th, 2008: League signup for the spring semester will be held next Monday (February 4th). League will begin the Monday after and run for 12 weeks. Any questions, please contact the Vice-President (kmz4).
  • January 25th, 2008: New officers for 2008-- Scott Schechter (President), Kyle Zumstein (Vice-President), Harry Beyel (Webmaster), and Matt Coolbaugh (co-BRI Coordinator).
  • January 10th, 2008: First practice of the semester will be Monday, January 20th at 5 PM. New members are welcome to stop down and bowl a few games!
  • October 26th, 2007: Congrats to the winners of the Scotch Doubles Tournament; Arthur Wang and Justin Torok who defeated runner-ups Sarah Mayefsky and Ellis Weng 256-160 in the finals!
  • October 18th, 2007: Scotch Doubles Tournament next Thursday (25th) during league!
  • October 17th, 2007: Please talk to Brian (bl76) if you are interested in bowling in/or volunteering for the upcoming Big Red Invitational in Cortland

  • September 15th, 2007: Fall 2007 league will begin on September 17th at 5 PM at Helen Newman Lanes.
  • May 7th, 2007: The Spring 2007 CBC League is now over! Congrats to the winning teams, and a big thank you to everyone for participating! Informal practice will still be held through the end of the semester on Mondays/Thursdays. Good luck on finals, have a great summer, and see you all in the fall!
  • April 28th, 2007: Softball playoff game MONDAY @ 5:30 PM at Jessup Field! Church of Richard Wallding is the #1 seed for the bracket!
  • April 28th, 2007: Just a reminder: There are two more weeks of league. THIS Thursday is Week 11, followed by the final matchups on MONDAY, MAY 8TH at 5:00 PM. Pizza, wings, soda, and trophies afterwards so be sure to come!
  • April 12th, 2007: Softball schedule posted. Games are at 1:00 PM on Sundays. Get in touch with Colin if you want to play. All are welcome!
  • March 1st, 2007: We have extra T-shirts! (See below for design). Black ($5) 1 S, 1 XL -- Gray ($10) 1 L. If you want a shirt, please e-mail Colin ASAP. First come, first served!
  • February 8th, 2007: League play begins next Thursday, February 15th. If you did not attend the league sign-up session, but would still like to bowl, please contact Colin ASAP.

  • August 28th, 2006: Our practice today (Monday) will run from 5:15pm to 7:15pm.
  • August 26th, 2006: Come check us out at ClubFest on Sunday August 27th in Barton Hall form 1pm to 4pm. Our next practice is Monday August 28th at 5pm in Helen Newman Lanes.
  • August 24th, 2006: Our first practice is today (Thursday) at 5pm in Helen Newman Lanes. New members interested in the club are welcome to come check us out!
  • August 16th, 2006: We are working to plan our first annual rock-n-bowl no tap tournament which will be on Saturday, September 9th. More info to come in a week!

  • April 30th, 2006: Info about the Big Red Invitational being held on November 11th and 12th is now posted here. Get your teams in as soon as possible. Feel free to e-mail Brian with any questions.

Old News from 2005-2006

  • Congratulations to Zach and Ex, winners of the Scotch Doubles tournament on April 29th. Click here for the tournament results.
  • Below is the graphic for the t-shirts we are ordering. If you are interested and didn't already sign up, you should let Brian know by Thursday 11:59pm. Make sure you include your shirt size in the e-mail.
  • The Bowling League will be starting on Tuesday February 14th. Currently, there are 11 teams of 4 signed up, but if you would still like to join you should contact Brian immediately. For more information about the league click here.
  • Eligibility Forms: Some of you have not filled out eligibility forms yet (Eric Wilson, Ankit Patel, and Andy Knippenberg). Sarah will be at practice this Saturday, January 21 and next Tuesday, January 24 so you can sign it. This is very important so you must either come one of those days or make other arrangements with Sarah(sam244@cornell.edu).
  • Here is some information about the major spring tournaments. If you are interested in going to any of these, e-mail Brian or Jesse as soon as possible. All of these tournaments require SIX players and we will try to take as many different people as possible. We'd also like to take two teams to the Dutchess Invitational on February 4th.
    • 1/29 Rockland Invitational (White Plains, NY): 1-day tournament on Sunday. We'd leave Saturday evening, stay in a hotel overnight, and return Sunday after the tournament. Travel time is about 4 hours each way.
    • 2/4 Dutchess Invitational (Poughkeepsie, NY): 1-day tournament on Saturday. Travel time is about 3 hours each way.
    • 2/18-2/19 ACC Invitational and SCCC Invitational (Fort Edward and Schenectady, NY): Two separate 1-day tournaments. We'd leave Friday night and stay one night in each of the two cities. Bowling is on Saturday and Sunday. We would return after the tournament on Sunday. Travel time going there will be about 4 hours, coming back will be about 3 hours.
  • The SUNY IT Invitational has been cancelled
