About Us

CBS is a Christian fellowship devoted to glorifying God through our lives here at Cornell. We gather together to worship God, study the Bible, pray for (and with) one another, and know the boundless love of Christ. We strive to equip Christ’s followers for a holy life of servitude, to build challenging spiritual friendships, and to share Christian love and faith to the world.

We meet as a large group every Friday 7-9:30pm at Phillips 101. All are welcome.

If you would like information on the local churches, please proceed to the Contact Us page.

CBS Vision 2007 - 2008

“And we, who with unveiled faces, all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness, with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” - 2 Corinthians 3:18

We’re all here at Cornell in search of something. It could be a degree, a fun time, or even just a place to belong. While all that can be good and satisfying for a time, God offers us something that exceeds anything in this world. When Jesus Christ came to this earth and died on the cross for our sins, we were given a new covenant that allowed us to have an intimate relationship with the almighty and powerful God of this universe. Through Christ, we can boldly partake in the all-surpassing glory of God that will last for eternity.

So what does that mean for our lives?

The vision of CBS this year is to seek a real relationship with God, which is made possible only through Christ’s death on the cross. As we strive to encounter God daily through the reality of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and consequently, reflect God’s glory in the way that we live and interact, we believe that God will gradually complete the good work He has started in us. Even as Christians, we have not yet arrived but should be constantly growing to know Him more.

At Chinese Bible Study, we look to take hold of God’s promise that we are being transformed into his likeness, one step at a time, toward ever-increasing glory. Through Bible studies, prayer meetings, large group gatherings and our daily walks, we hope to move toward knowing God in the face of Christ and reflecting that glory, so that each of our lives are one of continual transformation.
