So, in follow-up to last Friday's lesson (see bottom if you want a recap), here's what we encourage you to do:

Fast from food starting Thursday (10/27) evening, after dinner (~7pm) ... clear liquids (i.e. apple juice) are ok!

Take meal times to direct your attention to God, to repent from your sins, to read His Word, and to worship
When your stomach growls or aches, pray!
If you'd like to join other CBSers in prayer during your fast, come to Sage hall sometime between 12-1:30pm

We will break fast together as an ACE after CBS on Friday (10/28) evening.

- 10/21 - Prayer Night / Introduction to fasting (more to come on this)
- 10/28 - Pastor Jones / CBS fasting for the day (more to come on this)
- We talked about the purpose of fasting and why we saw a need for it
- We talked about how we thought CBS was going and how the Bible Studies were going and how Servant Team was doing as a group (good!)
- We discussed the Inreach ministry and what events people would like

Hi CBS,

Hope you guys had great Fall breaks and that God taught you something during that time as well - and please share your encouragements/struggles/praises/prayers during sharing time!

This Friday, Professor Fick will be speaking to us about prayer. Please prepare your hearts to hear his message and consider its importance. I also hope that it will give you a renewed spirit for prayer and the important role it plays in our walks!
