History
The organization started in 1987 as the Animal Rights Committee with a 28 dollar budget to educate and activate the Cornell community. Since then we have mushroomed into one of the most active campus animal rights groups in the country. We have garnered national recognition for some of our work. The famous astronomer Carl Sagan was our faculty advisor until he passed away in 1996.
