candle
they bought
10.
Start planning EARLY
11.
Attend Ithaca College's sleepout in the fall
II. Who are we, Who do we want to be, Other
thoughts on CCH
A. How do you capture
attention of those who show interest
1.
In regard to the movie, it would have been beneficial if people were informed
of our event before going to the movie
because
it was unrealistic to think that people could sleepout without any prior
knowledge of doing so
2.
Good to note however that we got many people from the movie to the vigil
3.
Bring in people closest to you, they'll come to support you
4.
Having more structure to the first meeting of the year
5.
Encourage people to go to Loaves and Fishes and interact/share a meal with
the people there
B. Niches that we fill
1.
Getting people into volunteer positions
2.
Planning events
C. How can we improve
1.
Involve the homeless more
2.
CCH was founded with the idea that it was a coalition with the homeless
a. We've been moving away from that
b. Find a way to involve the homeless -- invite them to volunteer
with us at on-site, food pantries, etc
c. Create a fundraising/publicity chair position
III. Elections
A. A message will be
sent over the listserve that anyone interested in running should email
Lauren (llf6) and say which
position they're interested
in and why
B. Then Lauren will
send out all the people interested in running over the listserve to notify
others who is running
C. We will vote at next
week's meeting
D. If anyone won't be
able to attend the meeting but wants to vote, they can email their vote
to David (db75)
