Chai with CHI: Cover Africa

Cover Africa is a student group on campus devoted to eradicating malaria. We do educational events around campus, raise funds to purchase bed nets, and recently started a new course, Entomology 410: Malaria Interventions in Ghana, that sent 11 students to Ghana to do malaria research and distribute bed nets.

Moms passed AIDS virus by pre-chewing food,HIV was spread to babies through bleeding gums, doctors say

ATLANTA – For the first time, health officials report that the AIDS virus can be spread by a mother pre-chewing her infant’s food, a practice mainly seen in poor, developing countries.
