The Chairperson: conducts all Executive and General Board meetings of CUPB; prepares an agenda for meetings; moderates all discussion during meetings; calls special meetings and appoints ad hoc teams; recruits new members for CUPB; promotes the existence of CUPB to the greater Cornell community; and various other tasks and responsibilities.
The Selections Chair: recommends lectures and entertainment events to the voting membership based on surveys of the Cornell community; serves as the liaison between CUPB and agents representing performers; arranges for the reservation of venues for CUPB events; and various other tasks and responsibilities.
The Production Chair: serves as the liaison between CUPB and Environmental Health and Life Safety, Cornell Police, Risk Management and Insurance, the staffs of venues, and other relevant organizations for the execution of CUPB events; coordinates Board members' participation at events; arranges for the light, sound, and other equipment that may be necessary for the execution of events; ensures that all aspects of technical riders in contracts entered into by CUPB are fulfilled; and various other tasks and responsibilities.
The Administrative Chair: orders tickets for events, places tickets on sale through the various venues prior to the events, and sells tickets at the venue on the days of the events; monitors CUPB financial accounts, bills, receipts, and expenses; transfers funds to co-sponsorships; keeps attendance records of both Executive Board and General Board meetings; maintains an e-mail list to keep membership informed; keeps accurate and complete minutes at Executive and General Board meetings.
The Promotions Chair: develops publicity strategies; designs and coordinates the distribution of all publicity materials for events sponsored by CUPB; contacts and serves as a liaison between CUPB and the mass media; and various other tasks and responsibilities.
The Hospitality Chair: arranges for the ground transportation, accommodations, and meals for all CUPB guests; organizes dinners and receptions for CUPB events; arranges CUPB social events; and various other tasks and responsibilities.
The Campus Relations Chair: oversees funding to campus organizations through co-sponsorships; helps with production and publicity for each semester's grant event.
The Adviser: oversees all activities of CUPB and makes sure everything is running smoothly at all times.
