To become a member of CUPB come to our meetings every Wednesday at 5:15 pm in the Willard Straight Hall International Room. New members are always welcome! All members get to vote on who we bring to Cornell as well as gain hands-on promotion and production experience.
CUPB members work and run all Program Board-sponsored events. Prior to each event, we have crew sign-ups. Members are asked to rank the crews they'd like to work on for that show, and we try our best to fulfill each request. Preference is given to those members who help with promoting the event and who have the best attendance at meetings.
Depending on the venue of our event, there are either 3 or 5 crews. Crews with a * exist in all venues. The other crews only exist at our largest venue (Barton Hall). All crews are made up of CUPB general body members, and no experience is necessary to join any crew. Each crew is led by a Crew Head, who is chosen by the Executive Board for his/her dedication to CUPB. Below are the names of the crews and a description of what they do on the Day of Show.
Hospitality*
The Hospitality crew is responsible for the preparation and organization of the artists' dressing rooms and the CUPB crew area.
Security*
The security crew works as ushers and performs bag searches and confiscations prior to the start of the show. Once the show has begun, the security crew does security rotations to ensure safety in the venue.

Ticket Taking*
The ticket taking crew collects tickets, expediting the safe and orderly entrance of the audience into the venue.

Box Office
The box office crew is responsible for selling tickets as well as handing out all complimentary and reserved tickets.

Stage
The stage crew is responsible for setting up and breaking down the lighting, sound, and stage equipment for the performance. Occasionally stage crew members will be responsible for operating the spotlights. During the show, stage crew members work front-of-house security rotations to ensure safety in the venue.
