When does the Games Club meet?

We meet every Friday evening, even when classes aren't in session, starting at 7 PM. There will occasionally be a week where we don't have any rooms, for instance if another organization reserves every classroom on campus at the same time. Assuming the other organizations are kind enough to let us know of this in advance, you'll know as well through the mailing list.

Who can attend the meetings?

Everyone is welcome at Games Club meetings. However, the officers and advisor do have the right to rescind this welcome on an individual basis. This isn't likely to actually happen, unless you're being a major jerk or doing something that could result in our charter being revoked.

Where are the meetings?

The meetings are held on the first floor of Goldwin Smith Hall, specifically rooms 144, 156, 158, 160, 162, and 164. Other rooms in the building may be available, but are not guaranteed (and are probably locked).

Where's that?

Goldwin Smith Hall is located on East Avenue, on the Arts Quad, behind the statue of Andrew Dickson White. It is directly across the street from the new Physical Sciences building.

How do I get there?

  • Car: The lot behind Sibley Hall is close by, as is the Museum lot/Central Avenue, but beware of the night-restricted spots in both lots.
  • Bus: Any bus that stops at Goldwin Smith Hall or Rockefeller Hall will work, but they stop running distressingly early on Fridays.

Is there food?

We don't officially provide food at the meetings. You're welcome to bring whatever you'd like to eat or drink, with the exception of alcohol, which is prohibited by University policy. Any delivery establishment that delivers to campus should be able to find Goldwin Smith as well. There are vending machines located in the basement on the other end of the building from the meeting rooms. Keep in mind that we're using classrooms, so you'll need to clean up after yourself.
