
Constitution and Bylaws of the Cornell Chapter of Golden Key International Honour SocietyArticle I - NameThe name of this organization is the Golden Key International Honour Society Chapter of Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. Article II - ObjectivesThe objectives of the Cornell Chapter shall be to recognize academic excellence and foster community service, to represent Cornell to the Golden Key International Honour Society as a whole, to provide social and educational opportunities for our members, and to inspire excellence in all endeavors. Article III - Membership and DuesSection I: Membership will be offered to all Cornellians in the top fifteen percent of the junior and senior classes. Section II: The officers of the chapter will establish dues based on the recommendations of the International Headquarters. Article IV - Officers and Board of DirectorsSection I: The board of directors will be composed of the following officers: President, Vice President of Communications, Vice President of Activities, Treasurer, Service Director, Academic Recognition Director, Secretary, Liaison to Headquarters, Webmaster, and Faculty Advisor. The constitution of the board of directors may be altered by the previous year's board of directors. Section II: The officers of the chapter will be chosen each year by the previous year's board of directors. Section III: In the absence or disability of the President, or at the request of the President, the Vice President of Activities will serve as President and the board will appoint a new Vice President of Activities. Article V - AmendmentsThis constitution may be amended or altered by a majority vote of all members present at any meeting of the board of directors.
