About Other
Other is a multiracial, multicultural voice on campus: a way for people to share their experiences, thoughts, and viewpoints on being mixed. Authenticity, belonging, and cultural fusion/formation are just a few topics relevant to the mixed experience. We hope you enjoy the magazine, and take with you a renewed awareness of what is "other".

Other was founded two years ago as Cornell Hapa's publication about the mixed-race and mixed-culture experience. The first issue was black-and-white, and only ten pages long. Since that time, Other has grown to have a devoted staff, color photographs, glossy pages, and writing on topics from the multiracial experience to immigration to sexuality and race; all of it brilliant, surprising, and powerful. In sharing our differences, we discover the differences that we share.
