March 24, 2008 "The Apology of Socrates" Pictures Posted The theatrical performance by Yannis Simonides of Plato's "The Apology of Socrates" turned out to be a great event. February 10, 2008 Mythos 2008 Website Launched Following the succes of Mythos 2006 and Mythos 2007, the Hellenic Student Association at Cornell is inviting you to enjoy another series of Greek cultural events, Mythos 2008. Please join us to learn more about the history, art, music, theater, dance, and the exciting life of Greece as we present to you many fun and interesting events on the Cornell campus. January 15, 2008 Greek Fire Discussion Video and Greek Dance Performance Video Posted A video from the greek fire discussion panel, titled "The Mediterranean on Fire: A Roundtable on the Recent Fires in Greece, and on Climate Change in the Mediterranean", has been posted along with an article written about the event. If you missed the discussion, be sure to watch the video and read the article. A video of the Greek Dance Group performing Tsamiko at the Mythos 2007 performance has also been posted along with the other videos and pictures from the event. Both videos can be seen on Mythos TV. September 29, 2007 HSA T-Shirts on Sale Because they were so popular the last time we sold them, we will be ordering more t-shirts for the Hellenic Students Association. The t-shirt is blue and says in white letters: "Ithaki (in Greek) is gorges; Hellenic Students Association, Cornell University". They come in S, M, L, XL. We will sell them for $10, and we will try to have them by the next coffee hour. Email Thalyana at tms46@cornell.edu with your shirt size if you want to buy one. September 6, 2007 Greek Dance Group to Continue Lessons The Greek Dance Group will continue to hold lessons this year and has now registered as its own club. If you want to learn how to greek dance or you want to share your dancing abilities, then this is the group for you! Email Thalyana at tms46@cornell.edu if you are interested in joining, or just come to one of our meetings. We will hold lessons every Tuesday night at the RPCC all-purpose room at 7 pm. September 6, 2007 Pictues Posted from Mythos 2007 and Easter Photos have been posted from the Mikrokosmos concert and the Greek Dance Group Performance during Mythos 2007 and from Easter. Welcome to all of the new members that are joining HSA, and welcome back to returning members! We are planning many events and are looking forward to an exciting year.
