Plot Summary: Fanis is a chef-astronomer who dreams of reuniting with his grandfather, whom he has not seen in the decades since his family was forced to relocate to Greece. When the film flashes back to Fanis's boyhood in Istanbul, we are treated to the smells and tastes of a closely-knit Greek enclave, whose characters are as flavorful as the food they cook. Largely based on Boulmetis's own childhood, A Touch of Spice was a smash hit when it was first released in Greece. (View trailer)
