Kristin Chan

Kristine Fakharzadeh

Kristine is a senior here at Cornell studying Applied Economics and Management. She has been dancing with Impact since her freshman year and has loved every minute of it! She was a principal dancer of the Ballet Arts Company in her hometown of Oradell, New Jersey for 12 years. In high school, she was also captain of the cheerleading squad and was a member of the dance team. Kristine looks forward to a fabulous last year with Impact!

 

Ashley Ferro-Murray

Ashley is a Junior in the College of Arts and Sciences and couldn't be more thrilled to be in her third year dancing with IMPACT! She is currently working to complete a College Scholar major focusing on performance theory and visual studies with special concentration on gender politics and french theory. In doing her studies in performance theory, Ashley continues to dance with and choreograph for Impact and the Cornell Univeristy dance department. Having danced from a young age with the Ithaca Ballet, Ashley has also studied dance and choreography with Byrn Mawr College, Centre de dance du Marais and Paris Université 7.

 

Risa Fujita

Risa is a junior Dance and Economics major from Tokyo, Japan. Since the age of three, she has danced modern, ballet, jazz, hiphop, African, and musical theatre with Michiko Yano Modern Ballet Company, Denenchofu Futaba Dance Team, and Mercersburg Academy Dance Company. She has been a member of Impact since the beginning of her Cornell life and thanks everyone for their love and support.

Emily Hahn

Emily is in the class of 2008 in the College of Arts and Science. She plans in majoring in government and concentrating in international relations. Before attending Cornell and joining Impact, Emily danced with Coupe Dance Studios. She has attended various summer programs including New York State Summer School for the Arts School of Ballet and American Academy of Ballet.

 

Ashley Halloran

Ashely is a junior studying English with a concentration in Film in the College of Arts and Sciences. She grew up in Los Angeles California where she studied ballet for 15 years at Westside Academy of Dance, and did some jazz, tap and modern on the side. She also attended summer programs at the Rock School of Pennsylvania Ballet, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, with whom she performed the Nutcracker at the Hollywood Bowl. Currently Ashley is performing with Ithaca Ballet, and starting her third year with Impact.

Katie is a short armed, long torsoed, small asian child who enjoys sprinkles and jumping in large puddles.

 

Emiko Manners

Emiko is a Government major in the college of arts and sciences, and is in her fourth year with IMPACT. She was born in Hong Kong and raised in Japan, and came to the United States last year as she entered Cornell. Having orchestral musicians as her parents, she spent a lot of her time as a child in concert halls listening to them practice and perform, which helped her to eventually pick up her interests in dance and music. She performed ballet throughout her life, mainly in Japan (Shizuoka, Kyoto, and Tokyo) and in NY for several summers. She won Fourth place for the All-Japan Ballet competition in 2001, and a prize in the Youth American Grand Prix at NY in 2002. Aside from Impact, she currently dances for the Cornell dance department, and is an active member of the Ithaca Ballet Company.

 

Morgan Miller

Morgan is a freshman in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, majoring in atmospheric science. She danced at Jazz Rockballet Studio in South Jersey for 10 years. She specialized in ballet, pointe, and jazz and started her favorite type, hip-hop, while in high school. She has dance in many professional performances and is so excited to dance and perform with Impact here at Cornell.

Leslie Reed

Leslie is Sophomore anthropology major from St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She has be dancing with different dance schools since she was 8 years old mainly focusing on ballet and jazz but dabbling a bit in other forms such as modern and tap. She enjoys bringing some island flavor to her Impact loves, but when she's not dancing or partying with Imapct she can be found serving coffee at Olin Cafe or being awesome with her TriDelta sororiity sisters.

 

Bridgette Rivers

Bridgette grew up near Rochester, NY and has danced at Fitzimmons Dance Factory in Fairport, NY for 14 years. She has danced with the Hartford Ballet, the North Carolina Ballet Theatre, and the Moscow Ballet in The Nutcracker. She has also been NYCDA Outstanding Regional Dancer, and has won an NYCDA Outstanding Dancer Scholarship at nationals.

 

Rebecca Sanders-DeMott

Rebecca is a junior Ecology major from Mahopac, NY and this is her second year with Impact. She traied at the Country Acadamy of Dance for 11 years in modern, ballet, jazz, hip hop, and tap. She was a member of the Linda Duci Dance Ensemble from 2000 to 2004. While in high school, she worked as a dance instructor for modern and hip hop classes. Since coming to Cornell, Rebecca has been involved in the Cornell Dance Department as well as Impact. She hates writing bios and loves black pepper.

 

Lauren Uhler

is a senior sociology and psychology major and is in her fourth year with Impact. Before coming to Cornell, she studied ballet for 9 years at Dolly Haltzman Dance Academy and Repertory Dance Theatre in Allentown, PA. In addition to dancing with Impact, she performs with the Cornell dance department.

 

Michal Zebede

Michal is a sophomore in the college of Arts and Sciences studying Perception in the College Scholar program. Although she has been dancing since early childhood, she started dancing seriously (mostly ballet) in high school. As a high school student, she danced with the company of Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida. She also participated in dance programs and performances at her school. Performances include: Cindrella (Summer Fairy), Sleeping Beauty (Vision Soloist), Swan Lake, Firebird, Chippolino, and more. Michal has been a member of Impact since her first semester at Cornell and looks forward to working with the talented Impact girls in the future!
