The purpose of ISO is to study and celebrate the rich culture of Iran. Our goal is to allow for a better understanding of the culture among the Cornell community. ISO welcomes people of all cultures and religions, and hopes to surround those who are interested in learning about the Persian culture with the proper environment to do so. Everyone is welcome to join. We are also planning to hold several events, such as:
Persian new year party,
Sephardi night,
Tirgan celebration of summer,
Mehrgan celebration of autumn,
Yalda night celebration of the longest night of the year,
Chaharshanbe Soori (celebration of the last Wednesday of the year),
Sepandarmazgan (equivalent of the Valentine's day)

Undergraduate educational consultation,
Undergraduate research initiative,
Inviting internationally recognized speakers
