AnnouncementsTu B'Shvat - Mon 2/13 - Celebrate the Jewish "New Year For Trees."
Tu B'Shvat was a day of great rejoicing during the first and second commonwealths as the people who relied on the land for
sustenance began to see the fruits of their labor.
Megillah Reading (Purim) - Mon 3/13 & Tue 3/14 - Times and locations to be announced
Super Seder - Wed 4/12 - Passover is coming up fast and it's time to start thinking about
creating another SUPER SEDER. Be a leader at the Cornell seder, a seder where 1,000 of your fellow Jewish student will participate,
a seder that you will never forget. Anyone can be a leader, even if they have never tried before. This is an opportunity to lead
your friends, to create the experience you want. Any style is acceptable; anything goes. Have a funky idea?
We'll help you make it happen. - Email Maayan Jaffe to sign up
Chavruta Learning "One-on-One" with Rabbi Jaffe- Wanna Learn?
Rabbi Yitzchak Jaffe of the Center for Jewish Living and the Jewish Learning Initiative welcomes students from all walks of
Jewish life to learn in a one-on-one setting (or one-on-two setting if you want to bring a friend) about anything and everything
related to Judaism/Jewish life. We can explore the laws of giving charity, read Tanach, or delve into a Gomorra. We can
understand the World to Come, or just discuss the role Judaism plays in our lives. -
