The Cornell Kendo Club exists to teach the practice of Kendo (Kumdo in Korean) in the Cornell Community. We cater to the needs of experienced and novice practitioners with a schedule that contains both combined and separated practice times.
Due to a regimented practice schedule and the number of students we currently have, we only accept NEW BEGINNERS at the start of the Fall semester. We will accept experienced practitioners (of at least six months) at any point during the year.
We annually host the Cornell Kendo Tournament in the Fall. It is currently the largest collegiate East Coast tournament held in the Fall. We regularly attend the Rutgers Kendo tournaments and the Harvard Shoryuhai tournaments in the Spring.
We are currently affiliated with the Greater North Eastern Kendo Federation of the All US Kendo Federation.
