Lions Club at Cornell is part of an International Organization devoted to community service. We welcome all Cornell students interested in boosting their volunteer morale to come check us out.
Though young at Cornell, the Lions Club has been around for 85 years.
The primary focus of the club lies in aiding deaf and blind children. So, our club will continue with this trend and participate in several activities in our surrounding area, with youngsters. In the past, we have done work with Camp Badger, Kids Night out, and all sorts of fun fundraisers!
Around Christmas time, Lions Club is known for hosting a food drive. They do other good deeds year round like collecting used eye glasses, etc.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Cotton Candy sale on Ho Plaza was a huge success. We were featured in the Cornell Daily Sun for our excellent efforts because we raised over $200 for the Ithaca Women's Breast Cancer Alliance.
Eye Scanning at the Nursery was also a huge success. Emily Sze set up a couple great events in a row!! The children and nursery were very cooperative. Thanks to all the Lions who helped out with that event!!
Camp Badger was another success. Though temporarily disturbed by a rain storm, the Lions helped set up the site for the summer camp. Great thanks to those who helped out there!
