Who is NWAEG?
The New World Agriculture and Ecology Group (NWAEG; pronounced "New - Ag") at Cornell is an organization that analyzes the problems of contemporary agriculture and ecology in order to develop and implement alternatives. NWAEG International, the larger umbrella organization, bases their work on the premise that the recurrent problems of the human society, including hunger, poverty, disease, and war, result from power differences between classes. The purpose of our Cornell chapter is to provide a forum for Cornell and local community members to meet and discuss issues and current questions related to this overall theme. Our aim is to educate our members, as well as non-members, about the issues central to our organization.
We currently meet on alternate Tuesdays at 12 pm in Plant Science 124, come join us!
We will still be active over the summer with some food preservation events and potlucks. Check back for updates.
