BLOOD DRIVE: The Red Cross Chapter at Cornell will be having a blood drive on January 29, 2009 from 12:00-5:00 in the Robert Prucell Community Center. Walkins are welcome to donate. November 2008 Notices:
Desert and Wine Tasting - Friday November 14th 2008 from 5:00P -9:00P. CALLING ALL PEOPLE 21 AND OLDER!!!! Come and join your chapter, raise money and taste wine from 27 different wineries and bakery shops. People who are not old enough to drink are allowed to come and join the festivities. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Supreme Pizza Fundraisder - Throughout the month of November, every supreme pizza ordered for pick up or delivery from the Pizza Hut in Ithaca, $2.00 from each purchase gets donated to the Tompkins County American Red Cross Chapter. BLOOD DRIVE: The Red Cross chapter at Cornell will be having a blood drive on November 17, 2008 from 12:30-5:30 in Anabel Taylor Hall. Walkins are welcome to donate. Remember give blood once and save three lives! The Red Cross is looking for a couple of students to post flyers and posters around Cornell Campus to advertise a couple of things we have going on here at the chapter. The posters will be based on some of the fundraising events we have planned, including the desert and wine tasting and/or more. If you're interested in doing this, please email Jessica Hubbard. Thanksgiving Luncheon - Thursday November 20th 2008 from 8:30AM-3:30PM. Seeking people to sign up for 2 hour shifts (preferably) and tasks will be assigned the day of the event. We are also looking for groups and organizations to donate food items such as turkeys, hams, pies, etc. Anyone regardless if they are in the club or not can volunteer for this event. Friendship Center Opening - December 11th 2008. Seeking volunteers to assist giving tours throughout the newly renovated Friendship Center. HEROES Campaign - Show off your creativity by contributing your fundraising ideas. Last year a talent show was held to raise money, can you top that??? If you an idea, just an idea, that can raise $1,000 your name will be permenantly engraved as a HERO in the Tompkins County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
