![]() The Ring of Steel Action Theatre: Ithaca is a theatrical stunt group created to bring the "art of stage violence" to Cornell University and Ithaca College students as well as the Ithaca community via teaching and performances. Members begin their fencing training using bokken (or boken) and then advance to steel swords. We study rapier, rapier and dagger, broadsword, quarterstaff, and hand-to-hand combat. The club began in Spring 2003 and is a chapter of the The Ring of Steel Action Theatre located in Ann Arbor, MI. Mondays 8-10 p.m. in Willard Straight's North Room New members are always welcome regardless of skill level or previous martial arts/fencing training . There will be special hand-to-hand training meetings held in the Risley music room in the future. When the weather is nice, we will have random practices outdoors. We have monthly movie nights where we view an action movie and examine the fight sequences and stunts. All of these will be announced in listserv emails.
