The Society for Natural Resources Conservation is dedicated to protecting and preserving the natural world all around us from a wide variety of threats, in desperate hope of passing a better world onto the children of this global village. We recognize that our environment faces perils on almost every front but particularly concentrate our efforts on forest issues. Following in this spirit, we invite you to learn more about the campaigns we help run and the issues behind them.

Nature Photo by Timon Stasko                 Currently, our main project is the Tree Free campaign, which is described in more detail on its own page. The goal is to completely convert Cornell to 100% post-consumer recycled paper. We have come a long way since the campaign began, and saved many trees in the process, but we also have a long way to go.

This website has a lot of information about what we are doing and what we have accomplished, but the best way to learn about SNRC is to come to a meeting. As noted above, they are held at 5:00PM on Mondays at the Prospect of Whitby Coop.

The Prospect of Whitby Coop is located just off Thurston Avenue on Wait Avenue. From the bridge to North Campus walk until Wait Avenue, make a right and continue until you see a large blue house, there is a sign on the front. We hope to see you there.
