The legislators that have the largest, most immediate influence over the Finger Lakes National Forest are those whose constituents live near it, especially when it comes to local ordinances or NY state laws. However, in many cases, writing to your Senator or US Representative can have a great effect even if you live far from the Finger Lakes.
