Spring 2008 Schedule

As usual, our weekly club meeting will take place from 3:00pm-5:00pm on Friday afternoons in the Willard Straight Hall North Room. People of all skills levels are welcome and no partner is necessary.
Sweetheart Swing Dance 2008

Our 5th annual Sweetheart Swing Dance is scheduled for February 16, 2008. There will be a beginners lesson at 8:00 pm followed by dancing to the music of the Ageless Jazz Band from 9:00-12:00. More details will be posted soon.
Club is Back with a New Format

Club will be meeting on Fridays from 3:00-5:00 pm in the Willard Straigh Hall North Room (all the way up on the 6th floor). This semester we are trying a new format for our meetings. The first 40 minutes will be open dancing. Then at 3:40 there will be a ~40 minute lesson. The contect of the lesson will vary from week to week and will range from advanced moves to dips to arials. Depending on the particular topic some prior experience may be required to participate in the lesson. If you are not familiar with the needed material you are still welcome to watch so you can remember for the future and/or come before the lesson so you can learn the necessary moves. Once the lesson is over we will resume open dancing until 5:00.
