Our Mission

Mission Statement & Club History

C.W. Tae Kwon Do, which celebrated its twenty year anniversary in the Spring of 2007, was established by Master Han Don Cho, Master Sung Chul Whang, and Master Jun Chul Whang. Master Han D. Cho, who is 7th Degree internationally certified, is the current head instructor of the Cornell University Tae Kwon Do Program. Master Sung Chul Whang and Master Jun Chul Whang are currently head instructors of our affiliated school in NYC, WestSide Tae Kwon Do. We were founded in the Spring of 1987 and became part of the Cornell Physical Education Program. Cornell Tae Kwon Do has produced local, state, and national tournament champions. Cornell has dominated collegiate TKD competition in the Ivy Northeast Collegiate Tae Kwon Do Invitational tournament every year since its birth. Master Han D. Cho is a fellow Cornell alumnus.
